Kwote
has been growing up on an eclectic mixture of music since the early
80’s. Raised in the San Francisco Bay Area where there is no
shortage of high quality music to be found, he developed a keen sense
of passion for his surroundings. Through this he has found his home in
a style of Psychedelic, Electronic, Turntablism with elements of Fusion and
Metal. Currently he is collaborating with multiple artists throughout the world on a Rock based compilation. His particular track on the album features funky bass, milky lead guitar and infectious scratching over a solid electronic groove. He’s derived great inspiration from this project and will be incorporating that energy into future releases and live performances. His primary background in music began in 1996 as a Hip-Hop DJ. Over the course of a year he discovered the thrill of scratching and commenced to put much more effort towards those ends. By 2002 he had multiple open turntable sessions throughout the Bay Area and Los Angeles under his belt and was ready to embark on a path of fully scratched music. Over time he found it essential for his art to expand with the acquisition of a modular synthesizer. This led him to involvement in several independent releases and airplay on various podcasts in 2008-2009. At this stage he has taken on Electric guitar as well and continues to strive for fully realized self expression. His current efforts with other musicians serves to point out that he realizes true self expression goes beyond doing it all yourself. All that matters is getting the sounds that dwell in his mind out into the world. His ultimate mission is to inspire others to not only enjoy life but to live their dreams to the fullest. The other musicians involved in the compilation album consist of people residing in the US, UK, Australia, Croatia and Austria. They primarily specialize in Guitar playing and various forms of Rock based music. Each bringing their own unique brand of exceptional, ear catching compositions. This collaboration is not to be denied and will open many people’s minds to a new generation of excellent talent. Kwote’s ability to meld various genres into a new realm that is all it’s own is exciting. It is not because this quality comes across as obvious or even intentional. It’s simply because it convincingly works. |
